Features for Lake Erie and Sandusky Cherokee Fans
The front end of the 2019 Jeep Cherokee comes redesigned, but it doesn't impact the ground clearance or approach angle specs that drivers planning on going off-road love about past models. Also new is a range of the newest automotive tech, like a hands-free liftgate, design aspects like more cargo room, and an all-new 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that is ready for highway acceleration or crawling over rough terrain. In short, its smarter, tougher, and more convenient than past models without losing the capability that makes it unique.
Design
While the features found in the 2018 Jeep Cherokee differ from trim to trim, which you'll see below, every model focuses on passenger comfort and capability with its design. There is loads of head and legroom for each row, and the cargo area is wider, which makes fitting longer items sideways an easier task. Outside, the Jeep Cherokee has the iconic seven-slot grille and trapezoidal wheel arches of the brand, and it has lots of ground clearance, tight-turning ability, and can drive through water up to 19 inches deep, so you won't have to turn back when the going gets tough.
Trim Levels of the 2019 Jeep Cherokee
Comfort, convenience, and an adventurous spirit are key traits of every new Jeep Cherokee, but Vermilion, OH car shoppers will have some decisions to make regarding the trim level that's right for them. Most trims are available with either front-wheel drive or a 4x4 system, but the off-road-focused Trailhawk® doesn't offer front-wheel drive, which we don't hear much complaining about. Latitude
This trim level changes what car shoppers should expect from the base model as it comes standard with LED headlights and a 7-inch touchscreen that's compatible with most mobile devices thanks to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and the roomy cabin is as stylish as the stunning exterior.
Latitude Plus
The plus of the name should tell you all need to know about this trim level. It keeps many of the same features as the base but adds finer materials and style aspects, like storm blue stitching, as well as offering Blind Spot Monitoring with Rear Cross Path Detection.
Altitude
The Altitude might be the most stylish of the trim levels as it comes standard with always-in-style black accents on the exterior, like the roof rails and wheels, and it is the first trim available with the all-new turbocharged four-cylinder engine.
Trailhawk
This Trail Rated® trim level is ready to conquer whatever terrain you put in front of it. From the standard V6 engine to skid plates to red tow hooks, the sight and sound of this trim will convince any onlooker that it's ready for any task.
Limited
The Limited trim oozes refinement as it comes standard with Nappa leather throughout the cabin and aluminum wheels while tech like an 8.4-inch touchscreen display and available panoramic sunroof make it even more pleasing to drive and ride in.
Overland
Capability has never been as sophisticated as it is in the Overland trim, which is just as ready for mudding as it is for standing out in the city with 19-inch wheels and interior wood accents. Plus, it comes with a hands-free rear liftgate and seats with heating and ventilation to make rides more convenient and relaxing.
